Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation
Elects New Board Officers
Southern
Minnesota Initiative Foundation’s Board of Trustees elected
new officers who began serving their term on July first.
They are: Steve Underdahl, Chair, Faribault; Bob
Hoffman, Vice Chair, Waseca; Stephen Waldhoff,
Treasurer, Albert Lea; Linda Lares, Secretary, Albert
Lea; and, Executive Committee Member-at-large, Deborah
Dove, New Ulm. Dan Christianson, Preston, who is
ending his term as Chair, will serve as past chair. These
six trustees also serve as the Executive Committee, which
oversees the business of the foundation.
Steve
Underdahl, President of Professional Contractors, Inc. in
Faribault just completed his fourth year on the Board and
served as secretary as well as vice chair.
Stephen
Waldhoff, CEO Albert Lea Medical Center, has served three
years on the Board including one year on the executive
committee
New to
the officer line up are Bob Hoffman, Vice President of
Strategic Business, Education and Regional Partnership,
Minnesota State University-Mankato, who is completing his
second year on the board; and Deborah Dove, a Brown County
Commissioner and history teacher, with one year of service.
Past
chair Dan Christianson, F & M Bank president/CEO and
chairman, has served five years, one as Chair. Linda Lares,
Cultural Diversity
Specialist at Southeast Minnesota Community Action Council (SEMCAC),
continues her second year as Board Secretary.

Board of Trustees and for the Foundation as a whole,” said
Tim Penny, SMIF President & CEO.
